Reiki is the spiritual energy that runs through everything, and it’s the energy of your being and the essence of all living things, including you and your pet.
Rei (spiritual) Ki (energy) is also known as Universal Energy, vital life force energy or simply energy.
Ki is the same as Chi in Chinese. Ki is the vital life force that flows through every living thing – humans, animals, plants, oceans, trees, mountains and the air we breathe.
This life force energy can heal the mind and body.
The only difference between Animal Reiki and Human Reiki is how it is offered.
Unlike Human Reiki. Animal Reiki doesn’t emphasize hands, hand positions, hands-on healing or even touching the animal. Animal Reiki Practitioners never lead with their hands.
Instead, Reiki is offered from a distance and allows the animal to be in charge and choose physical touch because they are always in control of how much or how little Reiki they wish to receive.
Sharing Reiki with animals is about meditating with them.
Physical or hand contact is unnecessary because animals intuitively recognize and understand this gentle yet powerful healing energy.
Once relaxed, the parasympathetic nervous system is activated to heal the body and mind.
As an Animal Reiki Master Practitioner, I create a calm healing space using meditation to assist them in deep relaxation.
Stress and Anxiety Relief is the #1 benefit to Reiki with animals.
An Animal Reiki session assists your pet in going into a deeply relaxed space where self-healing begins.
Deep relaxation allows the body to release energetic blocks and toxins on all levels–physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
When your pet’s energy is unblocked and balanced, it increases their well-being and vital life force energy, creating more health and happiness.
A Reiki session is an effective stress reliever and helps your pet when they are stressed, anxious, sick or simply deserve a “spa day.”
Reiki is effective even in high-stress environments like welcoming a new pet or baby, moving or visiting the vet.
A Reiki session before visiting the vet helps reduce stress and anxiety. They can receive Reiki if they are in the hospital.
Reiki helps your pet go into a deep relaxation where their natural healing response can help them heal.
Reiki can helps release past traumas, abuse or PTSD along with fear, anxiety and aggression.
Reiki helps senior and dying pets feel more comfortable and relaxed despite any health or mobility challenges they may face.
At your appointment time, I will send distant Reiki to your animal.
Your Animal Reiki session lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Results can be seen within 24-48 hours after your pet’s Reiki treatment. In some cases, you may notice an immediate change in your animal.
Often, healing shifts in your pet can be seen after only one or two Animal Reiki sessions.

The spiritual energy of Reiki has helped animals and people for 1000s of years.

Reiki is Reiki, whether offered to people, animals, or trees. The two differ in how they are offered.
Human Reiki stresses using hands and hand positions.
Animal Reiki is meditating with animals, not offering hands and hand positions.
With Animal Reiki, the practitioner never leads with their hands. Instead, we begin the Reiki session by meditating.
The animal is in charge and can choose if and how they want to be touched.
Both use spiritual energy and are different ways of communicating this energy. However, an Animal Reiki session is done silently and is not about finding out what your pet is thinking and feeling.
No. Reiki works with animals whether Cathy is physically present with them or offers Reiki from a distance.
Reiki is just as effective from any distance. Your pet will receive Reiki no matter where they live.
This is ideal for animals who receive Reiki treatment in their home or barn. Or where ever they feel the most comfortable.
Pets love receiving Reiki whenever it is offered to them.
During your pet’s Reiki session, you will look for signs of relaxation or connection that signal Reiki is having a positive impact on an animal.
Your pet may yawn, lie down or fall asleep and dream. A high-strung or hyper animal might not entirely relax. These pets still do their thing but will come back and check in on you.
